The Hiša eksperimentov (HE) is a "hands-on" science centre established in 1996 as non-profit foundation in 1996.
After four years of development and temporary exhibitions around Slovenia we were able to set up a permanent exhibition in the premises owned by the Ljubljana municipality.
It is a place where the enjoyment of learning, promoting of scientific way of reasoning and humour intertwine.
All of our interactive exhibits (permanent and mobile ones) were developed, designed and build "in House". Each exhibit contains also written explanation that unobtrusively invites visitors to read more and immerse deeply into science while experimenting. The process of improving new exhibit is a never ending story. After a new exhibit has been put into operation, we are constantly checking its usage, improving weak points and enhancing its attractiveness. Our main mission is PROVIDING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR MAKING MISTAKES".
From 2009 we organise yearly event called Znanstival (Sciencetival) – a science festival of science shows, workshop, spectacles, lectures... .
In 2013 we also started INSPIRE (INternational »Science Performance Is Ready« Event) – workshop for creating and running science shows.
